Q: What should I / should I not bring:
A: Refer to packing list (Appendix A, Student Guide)

Q: Where will I be staying?
A: AGPP Student Enlistees (SE’s) will be housed in open bay barracks on Camp Robinson at no cost to the SE.

Q: What kind of environment am I expecting?
A: While assigned to the ARNG GED Plus Program you will be in an Initial Entry Training Environment which means you will have constant supervision, while in a intensive non-stop learning environment covering both your GED instructions and basic Military training.

Q: What is expected of me while assigned to the GED Plus Program?
A: GED Plus Program you will be required to maintain a high level of motivation, dedication, and professionalism and a positive attitude.

Q: When will I receive my GED Certificate?
A: After SE takes the GED exam, the tests are mailed out to be graded by the GED score center; once graded, they will send transcripts back to AR and cadre with mail those transcripts to the SE and the RRC. The process takes 2-4 weeks. SE’s that passed the GED exam will receive their certificates in 4-6 weeks.

Q: How do I get a quick ship bonus?
A: If you successfully obtain your GED prior to your original ship date, and request, and obtain a quicker ship date, you are eligible for the quick ship bonus once you enter IADT.

Q: What happens if I fail?
A: If you fail the post test, you will be recycled to the following class (keeping you in PEC for 32 days) you will be given the exam and returned to Home Station. If you fail the exam but have not been recycled, you will be recycled or put on a state program. If you failed and have been recycled, you will be discharged from the program.

Q: What uniforms will I wear?
A: You will be issued 2 full sets of the Improved Physical Fitness Uniforms (IPFUs), and additional shirts and shorts. During cold seasons, SE’s will be issued a Knit cap and gloves.

Q: Do/when will I get paid:
A: Upon successful completion of the course, the SE’s unit will submit pay.

Q: How to contact PEC for pick up?
A: PEC shuttles arrives at the airports every ½ hour, or SE’s may use the courtesy phone by baggage pick-up and dial 501-212-4700, and identify themselves as a GED Plus Student.

Q: If I’m in the ARNG and failed High School, do I qualify?
A: Unfortunately this course is for Soldiers that enlisted under the GED Plus Program Enlistment Option.
